Myeik Archipelago
It is composed of over 800 various-size islands most of which are
untouched virgin islands in their unspoiled nature. Recreation,
entertainment at Adman Club, scuba-diving and snorkeling could be
performed at pre-assigned points.
Salon, once Semang and popularly known as sea-gypsy. Today, are major
attraction on their daily-life of collecting pearl, oyster and
bird-nest. They usually take their rain-retreat at Makyongalet village
to the south of Lampi island. Salon festival is held in January.
Since, Myeik archipelago is accessed via Kawthaung, Kawthaung and
environs should be enjoyed at Bayintaung hillock, and cape-land, Maliwun
water-fall and natural spa, and palm-oil nurseries and plantations.
