Naga
One of the impressive ethic groups of Myanmar is that of Naga. They
are sub-tribes of Kachin and sub-divided into minor groups then usually
habitat on high mountains of above 5000 feet elevation. They often
appear at Tarhan market in Kalay for their house-hold goods purchase.
Among the European travellers, they are known as Myanmar Zulu. The most
exciting and largest festival of Naga is Kaing Bi or New Year which is
usually held in January 14-15 annually at Khamti, Lashi, Lahe and so on
in turn.
